Updated: Apr 26, 2020

Mencius' Mother Moving Three Times (孟母三迁) is a famous tale from Three Character Classic (三字经). We all know that Mencius (孟子) became a great Chinese philosopher in the Warring and States period (战国时代) and arguably the most famous Confucian after Confucius himself.

Mencius accredited his extraordinary accomplishment to his mother. His mother moved their house three times before residing near to a school. With many scholars and students surrounding their home, Mencius was able to attain a positive influence from the conducive learning environment.

What is the reason behind it?

What is the solution?
